Christmas Wreath Making

Liverpool Cathedral, St James Mount Sat Nov 26 2022 at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Join us on 26 November for our wreath workshops, as we welcome some of the most talented florists in the North West to share their skills with you.


Make a classic wreath using spruce, holly, ivy, a variety of other foliage, seed pods, cones, dried fruit, and natural embellishments with extra decorative items available to purchase on the day.


Chelsea Gold medallists, Utopia Creations love to share their expertise and passions for floral design. Our workshops are for all abilities, and all taking part will have fun learning new skills, and will have the joy of taking home a beautiful natural wreath to display.


 

Fion Gunn Artist-led tours

Join Irish diaspora artist Fion Gunn for an hour-long tour around her latest exhibition 'Arrivals/Departures' at the VG&M. Fion's work explores themes of global migration and displacement through paintings, sculpture and audio-visual installation. She is currently artist-in-residence at the Institute of Irish Studies and her exhibition is supported by Arts Council England.

 

The Story Box at Christmas in Toxteth Library

The Little Details:

  • The Story Box is designed for children 1-5; younger and older children are welcome to attend but some activities may not be suitable.

  • The Story Box is currently free, thanks to the Liverpool One Foundation and the Community Foundation for Merseyside.

  • We have ample space, so please feel free to bring your pram into the room.

  • Children will need to stay with a responsible parent/carer throughout the event.

  • The Story Box is an interactive event, so we ask that children don't eat snacks until the end of the session.

  • Please do not attend if anyone in your household or bubble has Covid-19 symptoms.

  • Photographs will be taken at our events, which may be used in future promotional materials by Creative Spaces Co. and our partners. If you do not wish for your child’s photograph to be taken, please, opt-out with the facilitator.

The Wonder Years: Films Across the Generations

For Walton Wonders’ last events, we bring together different generations to celebrate happy moments in Walton. For an in person screening, we will be joined by the Liverpool Cares neighbours and Walton History Group. Full details including the projected films will be announced shortly on www.thespiritofliverpool.org.uk. All footage is suitable for all ages, but children and those under 15 need to be accompanied by an adult. Accessibility and Covid-19 safety measures Although there are no legal protections for Covid, The Spirit Of Liverpool want to make the event accessible if you feel safe wearing a face covering that will be absolutely fine with The Spirit Of Liverpool team. The Spirit of Liverpool team take accessibility very seriously. All sites have been selected taking into account accessibility for wheelchair users or mobility scooter users. The venue has a level access into the building and the auditorium. The Light Before Christmas at Liverpool Cathedral

This captivating indoor light show, inspired by the first Christmas, will light up the interior of the Cathedral, as angels guide you through an incredible display of twinkling lights, mesmerising projections and beautiful music. 'The Light Before Christmas: The Angels are coming' will be brought to Liverpool Cathedral by Luxmuralis, the artistic collaboration behind February's sell-out installation, 'Space, The Universe and Everything' Tickets for this Christmas light and sound show at Liverpool Cathedral, which lasts around 40 minutes, must be booked in advance, either online at Ticket Quarter or by calling 0344 8000 410 between Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 17:00 pm. Sessions start from 4:30 pm with tickets costing £8.80 for adults and £6.60 for children aged from 3 to 16. Entry for children under 3 is free when accompanied by an adult but you must book a ticket. Family tickets (2 adults and 3 children) are £27.50. Prices include booking fee. Tickets are non exchangeable and non refundable.
