News from Raise (https://www.facebook.com/RaiseAdvice)
Raise is delighted to announce the launch of a brand new service for residents across the Liverpool City Region: E.N.A.B.L.E.
This project brings together 4 separate European funded initiatives into one cohesive programme – E.N.A.B.L.E consists of an Enterprise Hub through which local residents will be able to explore options for self-employment.
New Horizons is a unique service that combines voluntary work placements within the busy Raise office where people can gain transferrable skills working within our Welfare & Money Advice teams whilst having ready access to a package of employment support and money advice. Volunteers will also be able to choose from a bank of over 450 learning units through the Advice Skills Academy, where they can begin to augment their new skills in advice work. Together with Building Better Opportunities.
Here's more from Philip Blocksidge, New Horizons Volunteer & Training Coordinator:
“ Raise is on the lookout for any local tenants seeking to join our dynamic team. As a volunteer, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at the very forefront of benefit and financial advice in Liverpool and gain new office skills that will be highly sought after in today’s job market Every volunteer we work with will be given one-to-one support and follow a ‘My Learning Journey’, through which they will be able to customize their volunteer experience with us. They can choose to specialize in any facet of our service or opt for a broad range of office and administrative related tasks to develop their employability. We hope to welcome a wide variety of volunteers who will contribute to our aim of raising people out of poverty and in becoming part of our advice team, gain a range of transferrable skills that will boost their job and life prospects ”.
