Today is all about stripes. I’m doing a recap on last week then a simple warm up again which will begin to explore what we can do with stripes to make a pattern. Below you’ll see I’ve put together a few images from Pinterest. Stripes can be much more than straight lines in a regular pattern as you can see.
I hope you’ll try your own pattern. Remember to tell yourself you're just playing – that way you’ll relax into it and have more ideas.
So why don't you have a go at drawing round a square object and filling it with pattern. Make it as big or as small as you like. Copying is a great way to get started.
